A berm was put in to add some instant privacy for this young family, living on a corner lot. The sunny street side of the berm was planted with bold foliage, grasses, and long blooming shrubs. Tall, skinny conifers were strategically placed for counterpoints and year round screening. The shaded house side of the berm holds fragrant, flowering, evergreen shrubs that serve as focal points from the kitchen and dining room windows. The photos were taken when the garden was one year old.
