Clients had a beautiful colonial home but it lacked personality. Walls were bare, there were not interesting architecture details to build around and add charm to the interior. We designed an oversized built-in as a focal point to add interest to the bare walls in this family room. An antique fireplace mantel was installed in the dining room that creates an unbeatable vibe to the room.

We then styled and accessorized the space with art and decorative objects to bring personality to the space without overloading the walls.

In the living room and family room, furniture pieces were selected in materials that are soft and family and pet friendly. Accessories and fabrics were picked to add vibrant colors and bring joy to the neutral and elegant furniture colors. The composition work around patterns and colors was intended to add movement and boldness to the space. Materials were selected for their ability to make these spaces cozy, warm, and inviting.

For this project, there was a delicate balance work to preserve the atmosphere of the house and add modern and transitional elements to level up the interiors. The result is spectacular and has brought the house from a standard colonial to a luxurious home.
