This Summit NJ client was looking to fully renovate her expansive kitchen area. Once the process began, the client soon realized the entire home could benefit from the MRCxEMD treatment. At completion, almost every space of this approximately 9,000 square foot home was redesigned, renovated and furnished. Renovated spaces included the mudroom, theater, bar, two laundries, kitchen, butler’s pantry, library/living room, guest suite, gym, offices, primary bedroom and closets, multiple powder rooms and five additional bathrooms.

Of primary importance to the client was functionality and character. The client wanted a home full of flavor and personality, and was intimately involved in all of the selections. Colorful tile, unique ceiling and wall treatments and textured and layered furnishings accomplished the client’s goals. Custom built-ins throughout the home provide storage and tucked away function. A gym with custom glass and metal doors, a theater with a moody hotel-like lounge, 2 home offices and multiple food prep and storage zones make this both a refuge and an entertaining destination. For a young active family, the home renovation created a bright, functional, timeless space that reflects the family’s charismatic aesthetic.
