This sunken patio was designed to beautifully fill in an open pit left by the removal of an out building. Portions of the adjacent landscape drain toward this area, so the new patio is placed over drain rock designed to hold some of that rain water.
The patio will become the outdoor gathering area for this Sisters family. Pathways and steps gracefully decent into the patio and out to the other side of the home. Native and deer resistant plantings were selected to create additional enclosure and seasonal accents.
