If you are afraid that your space is too small to use dark cabinets, then this Sutton Place kitchen project is a great example to take away your worries! You have to strike a balance in tone between dark and light materials, and adequate lighting is key. For this model style kitchen we choose a rich, dark chocolate, textured laminate, flat panel door for the cabinets. We balanced the room by installing the light travertine floor tile and a light sand colored quartz countertop. The linear, glass mosaic backsplash ties all of the elements together with an overall lighter tone injected with darker highlights pulling in the depth of the cabinet color. Strategically placed recess can lights fill the kitchen with ample lighting coverage, reflecting off of the new stainless steel appliances, plumbing fixtures and hardware.
