The Bodhi Treehouse Design

Conceptual design for a yoga studio, store and coffee shop. Our main goal was to create a warm space inside a warehouse in the middle of Wynwood for people to relax and feel immersed in nature. Natural and raw materials were selected and the use of ambient lighting was key to create a cozy atmosphere.

We collaborated with Guillermo Paulson for the design of the tree which was the main structure to showcase the products.

The center has different ambients; for meditation and private sessions, we created the teepee area, so customers can go inside for more peace and privacy. We used real raw tree trunks to evoke an outdoor feeling surrounding the teepees. Photography by Ricky Cohete

The clients needed an office space in the center so, instead of building walls, we enclosed the perimeter with natural wood panels. The forest wallpaper of the store continues on the back. The ceiling is finished with folded canvas.
