Danielian Associates was selected to the design the highly regarded New American Home as the showcase home for the 2009 International Builder's Show. Located close to the Las Vegas Strip, this contemporary and highly sustainable home is designed as both a quiet haven for personal refuge and an elegant venue for lavish entertaining. Sustainable design practices minimize energy consumption and reduce the impact of the home on the natural environment. Courtyards and paseos with fountains and pools surround the home to reinforce the indoor/outdoor lifestyle so prevalent in desert climates.

The New American Home is designed to be a net-zero energy home that includes: active solar design (photovoltaic cells), passive solar design (orientation and shading), insulated concrete wall system, gas powered mechanical HVAC system and low water consumption landscape.
