This Old House! Total Remodel
This Winchester home built in 1931 was purchased as a rehab/flip project. It was originally 2 bedrooms, 1 bath with a tremendous amount of potential.
Without adding square footage to the footprint of the house, Revitalize Design created an open floor plan design and increased the home to 4 bedrooms, 2.5 baths.
How is that possible?
This plan was dysfunctional in so many ways! The original floorplan wasted space that had great potential.
Here's how:
There were 2 unconditioned areas of the home that Revitalize Design fully enclosed and conditioned which became the new full bath and powder room. Furthermore, the existing plan had a center bedroom that opened up to a rear "room" which accessed a rear staircase. The rear "room" had the only full bath in the house. Talk about inconvenient!
By removing the unnecessary rear staircase and creating access to the rear "room" via a newly designed hallway, the Master Suite was born.
Now the home boasts an expansive open floorplan, new kitchen, and 4 functional bedrooms with 2.5 accessible baths.
The photos take you through the process and the end result is magnificent.
