This 9,000 square foot Holmby Hills residence was said to be the architect's favorite. Carefully adhering to the original design intent, the architectural details of this major renovation/remodel/addition project required a seamless integration of the new work with the existing finishes. The project included a new 35mm projection room in the Normandie Kitchen, the transformation of the unfinished basement into a classical, Old World, climate controlled wine cellar and tasting room, and an especially charming new kitchen with a barreled tiled ceiling.

The sophisticated design intent of architect Mark Rios demanded a diverse team of craftsmen capable of meticulous historical restoration and renovation on the one hand, while at the same time, equally skilled in executing contemporary details and finishes. A process was initiated early on to draw on our diverse network of suppliers to search out and secure original materials where possible, or to produce new materials that fully replicated the details of the original work. Throughout the entire construction process, Synergy's very close collaboration with the owners and their architect and interior designer assured a highly positive experience and beautiful result.
