This suburban kitchen update included many modern amenities. The clients were concerned about needed space, both visual and storage wise. The old kitchen had a blind base cabinet in the corner, not enough counter space, and a very cramped appearance. Once pencils were put to paper, the proposed design plan allowed additional space for a double-drawer garbage can base cabinet, the microwave cabinet, additional 18 inches of cabinet run, corner lazy susan, 12 lf. of additional shelf and drawer space, plus so much more. The current footprint of the room remained unchanged. Soffits were removed to create visual height and feeling of spaciousness.
