The previously cramped kitchen was opened up by taking down the wall between the dining room and kitchen, as well as taking space from the old laundry room. Two smaller windows were replaced by one large slider window that brings in light and unifies the kitchen area. With both an island and peninsula, there is plenty of counter space. The peninsula with hanging pendant lamps, separates the dining table from the kitchen and is also used with its own seating for more casual dining.

The cabinetry is based on custom cabinets in a shaker door style. The cabinets are painted in an almond color finish, while a neutral color of the tile backsplash creates a calm subdued look. The kitchen countertops are all granite slab in Golden Beaches, its warm tones complementing the overall palette. The Island and bench seat at the dining room are made of cherry wood stained in a deep finish.

Accessories in the kitchen include an appliance garage with lift-up door, pegs at two drawers, 4 roll outs, 1 lazy susan corner cabinet, and a recycling center.

The new space efficient laundry center is located at the back of the kitchen in a deep closet with a large matching granite slab countertop, and shelving above.
