The island made by Foster Custom Woodworks of rustic cherry rubbed through paint, forms the centerpiece of this spacious kitchen and has many features. Not only does it seat 6 people, on one side it houses 2 freezer drawers, 2 refrigerator drawers, 4 storage drawers, a trash pullout, and on the other side, three double-doored cabinets! The inset drawers and doors match those of the peripheral cabinetry, which are maple with a grey wash, made by Kountry Kraft. The same finish disguises the ASKO dishwasher and the Subzero column fridge. All of the cabinetry is topped by Cambria’s Ironsbridge from their Luxury Series. Above the 8 burner Blue Star Range is a pot filler faucet and a custom made reclaimed white oak range hood, also by Foster Custom Woodworks. Pratt and Larson tiles form the backsplash. The gorgeous sinks are by Rohl Shaw, and each has a Kohler Artifacts faucet. (photos by Robyn Wishna)
