This room is any tween girl’s dream bedroom. It’s beach inspired and features custom white cabinetry with as much storage as we could fit in the design. The main goal for this job was providing storage because there was a lack of closet space, therefore we needed to design a custom built-in wardrobe and provide drawers beneath the custom built-in bed.
The wardrobe was a challenge because we wanted to design using crown moulding along the top to make a statement, however the plaster walls did not make it easy for a flush, clean edge design. Another feature that was challenging was designing the headboard to provide reading lights and a media charging station for the young girl’s iPhone, iPad, etc. Careful placement of outlets in the wall and running electric through the headboard were preformed to accomplish this design element.
All in all, this room was a fun, creative one for us. It was a different type of project than our typical kitchen or bathroom remodels. We were glad we could utilize the custom options Crystal Cabinets Keyline collection offers.
