This kitchen remodel opted for an accent wall of cabinets and unique custom island instead of the traditional accent elements. Two cabinet colors were chosen, a deep espresso stain that was off set by a row of painted white cabinets provide a lighter feel to the space and add an element of visual interest.

A custom island was created that functions as both an island and the family's main dining space. The over sized granite piece coordinates with the granite counter tops throughout the space and the matching espresso base provides additional storage. The island can comfortably fit six, or have the chairs removed and act as a traditional island. Pendant lighting and stone tile back splash complete the space.
