Upcycled Art Sudio

The owner of the property named Juana needed a separate studio to paint and pursue other creative passions. The existing garage provided a perfect space, but it was a dark space that needed a lot of love and care. With a passion for collecting reclaimed building materials, Juana insisted on using only scraps found in second hand stores.
Finding the right builder was key to realizing Juana’s vision. Luckily, the perfect builder, Ian, came along. Both Ian and Juana scoured Craigslist and dumpsters to find one-of-a-kind treasures. We raised the existing roof to increase the ceiling height. We opened up the walls with huge folding doors and arched windows.
As a result, everything in the new studio was reclaimed or re-used, except for two structural beams above the large openings. The final rendition is stunning and we couldn’t be more proud of this project!
