The home is sited on the boundary of a glorious nature preserve where every angle and detail was designed to take full advantage of the view. The homeowners wanted an understated, updated traditional look for the home. It was to have old world details combined with today’s modern aesthetic. The challenge for the great room was a floor plan that provided comfortable seating with entertaining family and friends without obstructing the views. It had to have a dressed up appearance with natural textures, distressed woods, and subdued color palette that balanced the scenery outdoors.
