Ernesto Santalla took an empty, brand-new apartment in Washington, DC's City Center www.citycenterdc.com to suit the needs of a business man and entrepreneur who splits his time between the city and the Virginia wine country. The 700 sf apartment hovers above a courtyard, from which the design takes its cues. The main living space is compact and efficient, offering the flexibility to work and host business meetings and small receptions. Art from the owner's extensive collection was chosen for impact in a space that is mostly floor to ceiling walls.
