Varsity Residence – Interior Modernization (Main Bath)
This project focused on the careful modernization of a primary bathroom within a 1970s split-level home in Varsity. Working in collaboration with the designer, the intent was to establish a highly controlled, continuous material language across all surfaces.
Large-format porcelain tile was carried from floor to ceiling, with all grout lines aligned through the space to create a consistent visual grid. This alignment extended beyond the primary surfaces—door panels were detailed with saw kerf lines to correspond precisely with the tile layout, reinforcing continuity throughout the room.
A restrained palette and minimal detailing allowed proportion and execution to define the space. The floating vanity and glass enclosures were designed and installed to maintain clean sightlines and balance within a relatively compact footprint.
The project reflects an emphasis on precision, coordination, and the disciplined execution of design intent within an existing structure.
