A classic 1-bedroom bungalow in Venice, L.A., needed some upgrading. As the 590 sqft. (ca. 55 m2) house is a rental, the idea was to create something stylish but still affordable while holding on to the vintage charm of the Venice dwelling. What started as a surface touch-up ended up as a partial remodel back to studs, due to the bad building quality of those kind of houses in the area. New flooring and wall coverings came with the process of removing existing surfaces and appliances. The result is a new interior with an airy ambiance, complemented by a perfect mix of contemporary and vintage furniture, tasteful art work, and individual decor pieces collected by our client.
