Ready to create the open concept kitchen of their dreams, this homeowner came to MBS Interiors to design this beautiful layout for her new enlarged space. Knocking down the wall dividing her kitchen and dining room allowed her to turn her small u-shape kitchen into a large l-shape kitchen with an expansive island and a coffee bar. Using two different finishes for the cabinets, a door style that adds a little more detail than a shaker style, and a large crown molding, her designer helped her achieve this industrial look that is anything but simple or cold. The island features panels on each end that create the look of a large furniture piece, as they add a decorative element while concealing bar stools. The coffee bar adds just the right amount of counter space for preparing breakfast or using as a buffet, in addition to stacked cabinets that can store small kitchen appliances below, and display decorative dinnerware above. The homeowner could not have been more pleased with the outcome of her new layout, and enjoyed a holiday party right after install, where she had the perfect amount of space for hosting and loved using her coffee bar for snacks and desserts.
