Wealth of Wires

This project was unique for several reasons but most importantly the entire 25,000 sqft of Arts & Crafts-style new construction has all home run circuits making it a project that required extensive planning and documentation to precisely accommodate all underlying conditions. One of these conditions was the client has owned other similar-sized homes with lighting control and has, unfortunately, experienced the impact of a poorly designed dimming system; hence, they were focused on having the system be as quiet as possible.

A result of working on a project of this scale is the difficulty of finding available space to locate equipment. This aspect of the project was a test of ingenuity for us to find different locations to house the dimming panels.

Because the estate had very high end ornamental, architectural and wood finishes, careful concern was needed to keep all décor and design elements intact. To accomplish the task, many experienced trade professionals worked in conjunction on this project to fulfill the client’s high expectations. The impact of error is greater on a house with such hi-end detailing; therefore, coordination with every trade was critical to preventing mistakes and keeping the project in order.
