With the history of this Willow Glen bungalow in mind, the owners set out to create an open-concept kitchen that honored the stories of the walls surrounding it. Pulling the cabinetry (Lazy Suzan Designs) into what was previously a pass-through dining space, an expansive island was created to ground the space as the stove is set on the perimeter wall leaving the original window adjacent to invite light into the refreshed space. Soapstone countertops (I.R.G.) and brass hardware (deVOL) reflect the historical style of the home while modern touches such as the floating shelves and the custom bar area offer modern amenities. Custom 3-piece arched windows installed by our team bring character into the kitchen and draw the eye through the entire space.
