This renovation was all about opening up space. We lowered the basement level to enhance the connection to the backyard and replaced an unsightly rear stair with a modern balcony.

Excavating the lower level increased ceiling height, allowing for custom white oak millwork that houses a wine library and books. This warm, textured element extends upward via a custom staircase with a built-in reading nook.

The addition is clad in modern white aluminum panel siding. Its cantilevered balcony provides shelter over the glass sliders below during rainy months.
