Winter container gardens can provide color and interest throughout a cold Michigan winter. In late fall we plant these in durable pots or urns using live evergreens such as Juniper, Arborviate, and Chamaecyparis. Cut stems of blue spruce, redtwig dogwood, and winterberry holly fill out the container while live perennials such as bergenia and yucca provide foliage contrast.
