Woodside Residence

This home in charming Woodside, CA features a neutral blue and grey color scheme throughout. The clients are frequent entertainers with active children who wanted the home to reflect their taste. We started by designing an ultra-custom chef’s kitchen, then gradually lightened and freshened up the entire home.
The home has a welcoming, tranquil vibe as a result of the consistent colors in both the interior and exterior spaces. Features include laser cut tile in the kitchen backsplash, custom furniture, and a dining room ceiling painted navy blue.

The tones of the entry doors and interior walls give a glimpse of the color scheme within the home, while the Twist Chandelier by Circa Lighting and the abstract area rug add a touch of glamour.

The entry features a custom bench designed by Coddington Design (a chic place to store shoes), and crystal drop sconces with custom grey silk lampshades.

The challenge in the living room was to keep it dressy for formal entertaining, while keeping it coordinated with the more casual outdoor entertaining area. We used the blue and grey motif on the deck and inside for a comfortable indoor/outdoor flow.

The drama of the house increases in the dining room with the darkly painted blue ceiling, the "Bling" chandelier, formal dining table, and custom-designed indigo wing-back dining chairs by Coddington Design.

This breakfast area is a cheerful mix of patterns. Bernhardt dining chairs with a patterned back and nailhead detail surround a round Coddington-designed walnut table in this breakfast area. A silver leaf iron pendant, soft roman shades, and a moroccan-print accent rug complete this space.

We updated the family room fireplace, freshened up the walls and brought in chic but family-friendly furniture. The custom sectional is made cozy with lots of custom pillows. We worked with the client to hand-pick the yarn used for the custom wool area rug.

The custom Coddington Design lounge chairs are upholstered with the Robert Allen fabric Deco Inspire in Blue Opal, which pairs wells with the graphic print of the area rug.

This boy's bedroom features a West Elm reclaimed wood headboard and bed alongside a pair of grey lacquer and brass detailed nightstands, and a brass chandelier. Tones of blue and grey are used throughout in the striped area rug by Jaipur, patterned bedding, and window treatment.
