This renovation focused on several areas in an existing house. Primary, was the creation of a wall of eggcrate bookcases with internally lit art alcoves. The bookcase created a dramatic focal point for a Living Room with a high ceiling, no windows, and a vast collection of books. The entry sequence was completely re-worked to create a sense of arrival and better definition of spaces. We added shaped ceilings, interior windows and transoms, and designed a sleek contemporary stair with custom painted steel railings and Brazilian Cherry treads. Existing space over a mono-pitch garage was transformed into a therapist's office with archive space for an avid photographer.
