Would really love to know about the white backsplash

What is the material on island? Quartzite?

I love the stone on the island. Do you have the name and material?

The island counter top is a quartzite called White Fantasy.

I just had white Fantasy quartzite installed in my kitchen and had it professionally sealed! I am s dissapointed that after just six months there is a other if etching! I don't use any acidy materials anywhere on the counter. It is really upsetting! Can you provide any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks

It is the Smithfield S pendant by Flos designed by Jasper Morrison

The cabinets are from Wood-Mode. We used their Brookhaven line on the perimeter and Wood-Mode for the island.

Hi MS - Yes the tile is installed vertically on this project.

Hi Sarah - The typical overhang for counter-height seating is 12", which allows room for knees while you sit close to the counter edge. Anything beyond 12" may require additional support. Comfort is subjective, so we'd recommend trying it out for yourself before deciding.

Thanks! The counter top material on the island is a "White Fantasy" quartzite.

The backsplash is 6"x12" glass tile in Snowflake. We purchased it locally through Architectural

In our experience leathered quartzite does not stain or mark easily. Just to clarify - the quartzite pictured here is not leathered.

Quartzites offer the durability of granite, but the lighter colors and markings that are typically associated with marble.

There is also a White Fantasy Granite
