I don't have a record of the sink model; however, the manufacturer was Elkay.
The sink faucet is by Harrington Brass, no. 20-111-14, 4-hole Kitchen Faucet, in polished nickel.

I think more germs and crumbs rest around the edges of a top mount sink, than in an under mount sink. If your husband is worried about germs, you may want to check out Lenova's PermaClean line. This flooring material is standard strip oak flooring treated with a pickling stain.
One thing to be aware of when using this stain is that the small gaps between the floor boards, which one typically does not notice, become a bit more pronounced with the lighter color.

The counters shown here are terrazzo, a form of concrete. Terrazzo is made from a concrete base with decorative aggregates added to the mix. After the mix cures, it's polished to a high sheen with a grinding wheel. The polishing is what makes terrazzo.Terrazzo's been used as a flooring material for the last 100 or so years; its leap up onto the counters is still relatively new.

Precast terrazzo. Precast terrazzo is a made-to-measure product. Almost anything can be formed with terrazzo: countertops, wall panels, sinks, furniture. An array of colors and finishes is available. As with all surfaces, caring for your terrazzo is important. It does not need shielding from wear, but it needs shielding from spill absorption and stains. Quality terrazzo will be sealed, but this sealant is not a long-lasting barrier against stains. All spills should be wiped up right away. It's best not to cut on it, as it will scratch. Also, placing hot products directly on the top may cause cracking. Terrazzo costs more than granite or marble. Professional installation is recommended, so that adds to the cost, too. On the plus side, it's durable and long lasting. In this kitchen the green in the terrazzo pops as well as harmonizes with the tile backsplash.
