This sunken tub is lined up perfectly at the same level as an exterior pool of water. The window opens all the way so it looks like a single pool. This would be so peaceful and is absolutely lovely.

Plaster makes for a great ecofriendly shower or bath surround, as it's comprised of plentiful natural materials — lime, gypsum or cement — mixed with water. 11. Double plunge. This is one of my personal favorite bathroom photos on Houzz. This beauty showcases what is to me the pinnacle of sunken tub design for an organic-modern home: The indoor tub is mirrored by an identical outdoor plunge pool on the other side of the window, making the connection to the outdoors as explicit as can be. Presumably, one could simply hoist oneself up and slide across the ledge into the outdoor bath if craving some extra vitamin D.
