I like the "snappy" (high-contrast, natural) finish! I'm curious which Swedish brand and exact product chosen for sealer & finish. I presently have test patches of Glitza Infinity II on my red oak #2 flooring and it looks too dull.

The lighting and contrast in this shot makes it look like a custom stain, but the floors are actually natural with 3 coats of swedish finish.

The grey field tile is a 20x20 s'Tile "canvas glazed porcelain" series in Canvas Black. The red accent tile is a 3x6 Thompson Tile & Stone "Cristallo" series in Red Gloss.

The countertop is at 36", so 24" bar stools were chosen.

The floor was a three coat Swedish finish over natural red oak. Here's a good resource for floor finish options: http://www.artelcraft.com/hardwood-types/floor-finishes/

We are unable to locate the color as it was matched to the existing wall color by our painter.

Island Overhang - Can you tell me the width of overhang at widest? Would love to duplicate on the end of our work island! Any additional details appreciated.

The maximum overhang of a countertop material varies whether it is natural or man made. This soapstone material extends 12" at the edges, arched to 16" at the apex. Larger overhangs require a steel frame fastened to the top of the cabinetry.

The shadow line from the hood vent is deceiving. The farmhouse sink is actually Kohler's K-3086.

The addition required a new foundation and the upper floor that used to bear on the lower wall was replace by a beam. The result is an expanded lower floor roof that planed into the existing nook roof.
