These look like the "2002" line pendants by a phenomenal glass artist named Alison Berger. You should check out her website ( http://www.alisonbergerglassworks.com) - beautiful pieces! Unfortunately, they don't seem to be easy to come by; they are found at Holly Hunt showrooms and a store called Plug in LA. Here is a link to a page from Plug's website...

You did a great job. The kitchen is stunning. Ceiling is a fantastic touch. We are doing 30" column in a redesign as well, looking at subzero and Meile. Looks like you have a drawer microwave as well! Thinking about steam oven about where you have that. Again, great kitchen from the floors to the lighting!

This kitchen was long but not very deep. The two islands serve two purposes. The one with the dark top is a prep island and the one with the white top serves as an area for eating. My clients entertain casually quite a lot so its not uncommon to have 10 or more people in the kitchen. The two islands allow for a better traffic flow under these conditions.

Absolutely love your style with the dark floors and tin ceiling. The white island looks a lot like the one we are planning, which will be set on a diagonal in a 15 x 15 space we have that is open to a living area and a breakfast room. I moved from a home with a galley kitchen and I think they are absolutely the best work kitchens, so would think the design above would be phenomenal for cooking and entertainment. Love your work.

The cabinets are by Crystal and I used "designer white". If you're going to paint your existing cabinets I would suggest investing in a farrow & ball fan deck and matching one of their whites. They have a small amount of colors but they are amazing and all work well together.

Jim's Appliance & JW Kitchens

We sell appliances as well as do kitchen designs. We have done many kitchens that have both the GE Clean Steel along with the stainless. As long as you are not doing the two finishes close to each other, I think it looks fine. Most commonly it is the Clean Steel refrigerator and stainless in the other appliances.

I love working with Sub zero and wolf. They integrate beautifully into the cabinetry and are wonderful projects. LaCornue makes a fabulous range...really expensive but it's a very specific look. I've been using Calcutta gold for a long time and it's still extremely popular. Whites will always be current. Cambria is a quartz product which I've been using a lot lately. They are called "hand scraped" or "hand honed". You can buy them at most big box home stores. Bruce hardwoods has several colors of this. I would like to add this note though. They are very hard to keep clean. You see every little thing on them especially when they are this dark. I love the look of them in my house but I have 2 dogs and cleaning the paw prints never ends. Expect to pay about $8 per sq. ft. installed or more.

Wood in the kitchen is just fine. Most of our clients to it. A satin or matte finish is going to do more to conceal than hand scraped. Assuming you were going with a stain finish the hand scraping would also help.

This island was made from custom cabinetry with a marble top. A kitchen and bath showroom should be able to help you design one that fits your needs and will be able to tell you what it costs. Hope this helps

This layout worked well for this client as it created two different work zones. There is a prep sink to the left of the range which means multiple people can work in the space at the same time without bumping into each other.

Absolutely. Good for standing a long time, stuff breaks less when dropped, and unless you are really spilling gobs of liquid gunk, somewhat easy to clean and maintain.
