The only natural light in this kitchen is from the window above the sink, which you can see. We installed all the other lighting. There are can lights throughout the kitchen (especially in the center of the wheel-like design on the ceiling), under cabinet lights are installed under each of the upper cabinets, and there is a light installed in the stone hood (over the stove). There are some specialty lights installed above the cabinets to give a little glow to the top of the wall. Hope that helps!

I apologize for the slow response. We some how overlooked your question. These are a custom stain made on site. We typically hand-hewn our beams and then wirewheel them. That gives you the texture on these beams. They are then stained and finished with a wax product.
