The distance is about 18"-20" between the counter and bottom of cabinet.

Caracara Oro, it's an Italian marble. They also used slab material of Calacatta Oro for the backsplash as well (not tiles). Sealing will help with staining, but anything acidic will dull your polish instantaneously. Scratching and aging, creating an aged patina look, will defiantly occur. Chipping can occur as well.

Yes, it's a full slab of Calacatta Oro marble. Very expensive

This is a square edge slab with a secondary piece adeheard to the bottom of the slab to give the slab depth.All the edges are slighly eased.
