The best materials are ones that are fade and mildew resistant. Materials that are indoor and outdoor friendly are best. Look for cushions at outdoor or garden furniture retail stores that specialize in long lasting fabrics.
Depending on your outdoor climate, consider if you have a hot/desert type climate, you may need to bring cushions out of direct sun while not in use. This will prolong the life of your chair cushions.
