Additions of 4,400 square feet doubled the original size of this Potomac, MD colonial. The existing garage was converted to a gym and a pool changing area with a bathroom. A new garage with a guest suite above was added to its left. On the right side, a 20 x 30, four-season garden room with vaulted ceiling was constructed. Behind the house, a two-story Georgian porch was added off the family room. The upper level was screened and accessed by two pair of French doors to the renovated master bedroom suite for which built-in cabinets and a gas fireplace were among the improvements. On the pediment above the porte- cochere, stucco and a half-round window replaced the aluminum siding. A swimming pool, pool deck, 30 specimen trees, hundreds of shrubs and perennials, a deck and stone walls complete the back yard.
