In need of a total makeover. Notice the sunken living area off the entry and kitchen. Until we filled the space, we all had to be extra careful not to get hurt with this original design. Leaving this room sunken would reduce buyer pool for the hazard risk alone.

We kept the brick fireplace to be true to the original design, though it did need some TLC. Filling the sunken living room permits room for an island, creates an improved open concept effect, and reduces the prior tripping/ falling hazard (see before kitchen photo, too). Beautiful flooring...

Yes, this is the same room. Fortunately, we could access the additional space easily to more than double the shower size and make a true master spa-like retreat.
