Sited slightly below the butte’s ridgeline, Aman 15 is subject to less stringent county height restrictions and boasts a more vertical profile than its neighboring villas. Still respectful of its site with a cedar-shake roof paralleling the site’s slope, Aman 15 takes full advantage of its increased height allowance with a walk-out bunkroom basement which opens into a thin grove of aspens. Interior features such as a glass-encased steel cantilevered staircase and a vaulted-ceiling master bedroom are enabled by the distinctive building envelope. Ward+Blake fine-tuned the design module by opening up the living, dining, and kitchen areas to create a more informal public space that suited the Owner's lifestyle.
