This project utilized boulders and stones located on the client's property to create this ancient-feeling enormous sunken relaxation area nd fire pit. This was such a blast! Big rocks, lots of chiseling and fitting boulders, nice light colored pea gravel for the patio space...love it. Before we started, the whole area was a rocky hillside that needed to be excavated and terraformed before we started. Then we set the largest of the boulders along the wall as well as the natural steps, then began fitting stones to fit in various spaces. After that, we installed the pea gravel and stones for the dug-out fire pit.

The project is not fully complete, but is fully functional and a great space already. Last things for next year when we come back (per client's request) are to finish the steps on the left of the "bench" stone, and dig out some terracing nearby.
