This was one of the first projects Ohana designed and installed, so we are very partial to it. The front planter bed of the client's house was totally overgrown with old bushes and was an absolute snake heaven. First we tore out the bushes and scared off the snakes and spiders, then dug out the koi pond and stream. After that, we moved boulders from the woods of the client's property off the mountain and arranged them inside the planter. Once the waterfall, stream, and pond elements were taken care of, we finished it off by planting a variety of flora and a Laceleaf "Crimson Queen"Japanese Maple. What a difference! The client has told me they spend so much more time out on their front porch than they used to and absolutely LOVE the sound of the waterfall splashing down the rocks. Finally, we added some goldfish and a few koi to the pond. Since we installed, I'm told butterflies, frogs, birds, and dragonflies can often be seen relaxing around the gentle stream :)
