What a great example of allowing a client’s personality to shine through even while delivering a Strianese + Pew original. We reimagined the dark, cramped computer room which took up ¼ of this kitchen’s floor space, and created an entertainment/bar area. We were able to keep the bulk of the kitchen classic in it’s details (white cabinetry, simple frame and panel style cabinets, chunky jewelry like hardware) but really allow our imaginations to go wild in the bar where we designed high gloss lacquered blue cabinets with leather wrapped pulls and brass banker’s wire cabinets. The two areas are knit together by the Japanese feeling wallpaper which nods to both. The room feels like a Georgian Kitchen from the turn of the century, bred with modern details and today’s scale.
