Avondale Estates

This 1930s Tudor Revival home has been thoughtfully reimagined for the 21st century, seamlessly blending historic charm with a refined, modern sensibility. Preserving the integrity of a historic home while adapting it for contemporary living is no small feat, but this transformation strikes a perfect balance between past and present.

The homeowners envisioned a serene, harmonious palette that would flow effortlessly throughout the space, with subtle accents adding warmth and dimension. The design bridges traditional and contemporary aesthetics, respecting the home’s history while embracing a fresh, sophisticated look.

A foundation of soft whites and neutral fabrics enhances the sense of tranquility, allowing architectural details—such as the original arched doorways, carefully incorporated into the new addition—to shine. While the open-concept layout marks a departure from the home’s original structure, it underscores the neoclassical elegance of the design. Modern elements, including a sculptural teak root coffee table and sleek chrome barstools, provide a striking contrast, reinforcing the interplay between old and new.

The result is a home that feels both timeless and relevant—an exquisite fusion of history, elegance, and contemporary comfort.
