Our homeowners were looking for a comfortable space to relax, unwind and recharge their batteries. But, it needed to be an extension of their personal style, and more importantly it needed to feel like home. So keeping the space open, light and warm was the challenge. Taking away an over-sized builder foyer and bringing the basement stairs into the space made for a welcoming entrance into the new sanctuary. With space to chat and have a glass of wine, or put on the game maximise use of the space for alone time or when entertaining this design takes basement living to a whole new level.
Lovers of wine needed a place to store, display and enjoy their favourite vintages. This basement design has its glass half full boasting a great little wine bar, a stunning conversation pit surrounded by a spectacular wine display wall. Any lover of the grape would be happy to settle down here for a relaxing glass.
Keeping with the need for a warm space, we added a contemporary linear fireplace echoed by a chic, linear, porcelain tile facade. Bound to keep things cozy while watching a movie or the big game.
