We installed a pre-formed pond and created a small water feature out of slate stone. There is a small filter system, but once the water clears up it should not need much filtration. The water plants are planted in clean sand so that they have to pull their nutrients out of the water, not the soil.

The concrete pavers were chiseled to size to create a natural looking edge. Chiseling creates a more natural break, but you can break a lot of stones that way!

The patio stones were on site already, so we used left over to create a small retaining wall at the back of the water fall.

The new patio area is large enough for a typical round patio table and four chairs or for two chaise lounges.

The owner has 4 large dogs and had pretty much given up on the back yard at all. We installed sod patches to give the St. Augustine Grass as change to fill in the gaps. The yard is fairly shady, so it is better to let the grass become accustomed and fill out from there.

The patio stones were installed on weed blanket and mulch and did not really provide a usable area
