This sequence of patios was designed as a series of interconnected outdoor rooms. The homeowner had a deck that was too small and a wide open back yard with little privacy. By expanding the deck and lowering it we were able to have it built with no railings so that these outdoor spaces flow together and intertwine. The plantings were developed to maximize the privacy for each of the spaces and create more intimate rooms and gathering areas.
