This space (see before photo) was an unfinished basement only used for storage. The homeowner wanted to create a new media room and entertainment space, new closet and bath, laundry, as well as a ventilated room for cat litter boxes. Incorporating structural beams and columns made this space planning a challenge. A built-in "sofa" table acts as an eating surface while watching TV; one side is a structural column while the other is "fake" to create some balance. Note the remote controlled panels which close over the TV.
