The client had a list of renovation needs that included adequate storage for furs and shoes, reconfiguration of the master suite, a contemporary and clean living space, and a modern kitchen. In addition, the clients are seniors who wanted a bathroom environment that addressed their decreasing mobility.

The 11th floor unit posed a number of challenges, including and not limited to controlled disposal procedures, and difficult/restricted elevator space and access. During the renovation, the clients took a temporary lease elsewhere, and all work had to be completed on or before lease end.

The finished project incorporated generous storage and extensive millwork; a formerly conspicuous load-bearing column in the kitchen was concealed by installing millwork around it. The spacious bathroom features a generous shower with built-in bench seat. The large, ultra-modern kitchen includes an induction cooktop, and the new living area has a light and airy feel throughout.
