The house is thermally grounded to take advantage of the 70ºF constant ground temperature. The crawl space is insulated and sealed and is used as a plenum to supply air in the winter and return air the rest of the year. It uses half the energy the local utility's best prescriptive house uses. Designed for shading, ventilation and daylighting. Uses salvage and recycled materials on the interior. Designed in an early French colonial style.
