Deck framing complete and deck boards being installed. To maintain straight boards during installation I like to use another piece of lumber as resistance. That way, as each board is screwed into place the layout doesn't wave or become angled.

Once the old stairs were removed it became clear that the original installation created a lot of problems with the house. Some rot was found, and a good chunk of the siding needed to be replaced.
