Big Yellow is an extensive renovation of a house constructed in 1913 in NE Portland. The kitchen will be modernized, an additional bathroom will be added, and the existing bathroom will be redeveloped into a personal spa. New energy-efficient wood windows, smooth wall finishes, floors, doors, trim, and lighting throughout will create the feel of a completely new home. Utility upgrades like an efficient furnace will replace the aging existing furnace, and old knob and tube electrical infrastructure will be replaced.
