This home was designed and built for a mother and daughter who were building a home to age-in-place and to welcome extended family for longer visits. The site sloped steeply to the northwest and views of the valley and sunsets. The barn shape was our inspiration. We angled the structure for the views with a walk-out lower level guest suite and a patio. The main floor living quarters is on one level with an enormous deck and easy access to the driveway and garage. French Country was the theme with glamourous touches like a chandelier over the tub and in the living room against rustic country finishes like marble, green tiles and a wood ceiling. A mix of industrial and glam fixtures in blacks and brass tones complement the overall esthetic.
